The entire driveway was removed and replaced, with the asphalt laid in two lifts to enhance strength and durability. The paver borders and pavers around the garage were pre-existing, so Kaplan carefully reset them to the correct grade, cleaned them up, and added new sand to the joints, restoring their original charm.
To refresh the exposed concrete porch, the client opted for a new paver overlay. Due to height constraints, this required a special solution, and Kaplan found the ideal fit with Techo Bloc’s Marina pavers. These extra-thin yet durable pavers were designed specifically for spaces with limited veneer height. The finished project is stunning, showcasing the seamless blend of asphalt and paver details.
