Established in 1979, Kaplan Paving is the Northern Chicagoland’s leader in commercial snow plowing
Kaplan Paving has a ZERO-Tolerance for snow and ice.
Each year, slip and fall injuries rank second to automobile accidents. (LESCO News, Falls 2002, Vol. 40) Millions of people seek emergency room treatment for accidental falls, 300,000 of these people suffer disabling injuries, and another 12,000 die from their injuries.
We take ice control very seriously. Kaplan’s snow management team monitors variables such as air temperatures, wind, pavement temperatures, exposure to sunlight, shading, weather conditions forecasted for the next 12 to 24 hours, and the timing of snow events with site uses. Then pre-treatment, snow plowing, product applications, and de-icing treatments are customized to achieve your goals in a manner that balances timeliness, budget and safety.
Just when you think the storm is over, the sun comes out, creating a new set of challenges. The snow and ice will begin to melt resulting in slush on the pavement making it difficult to navigate. Slippery and icy conditions start all over again as the temperate drops. Kaplan has zero tolerance for these conditions and can deploy crews 24/7 to address any condition winter may bring.
We don’t accept anything less than perfection. Post storm quality control site inspections are done after each storm. This will ensure that nothing was overlooked that could lead to any injuries.
